The Different Types Of Stress
Stress affects each of us differently. There are different types of stress that is recognized both clinically and by researchers. Each individual needs to recognize stress when it occurs and what is the cause in order to effectively deal with it.
It is important to do this in order to be able to deal with the stress and most importantly to reduce or lower the level of stress. Each time we experience stress we need to know what approach to take to deal with it since there are different types of stress.
The three different types of stress are: acute, episodic, and chronic. Clinicians and researchers are identifying a fourth kind of stress, psychological.
Acute Stress
The most common type of stress is acute stress, which is caused by pressures of everyday living. Because this stress is so common, we often accept it as part of life instead of trying to figure out why it is always there.
Acute stress in small doses can be beneficial at times. An athlete getting ready to compete in an event will experience stress which triggers production of adrenaline and they will get a burst of the energy needed to do their best.
Symptoms for acute stress are easily recognized and usually only affects people for a short time. Some common symptoms would include neck and back pain, headaches and muscular tension, rapid heart beat and sweaty palms.
Episodic Acute Stress
We know that acute stress is common to most people. There are, however, a number of people that experience acute stress more often that others. These are the people who are so focused on achieving and being organized
and they seem to fail when it comes time for results. It is common for them to become irritable with themselves and the environment they are in. Where are they when this happens? Mostly they are at work and thus they experience the workplace as stressful.
Worriers are people that experience episodic acute stress. They may become so pessimistic that they can not concentrated on a project because they are thinking of all the things that can go wrong. They end up feeling awful, tense and anxious and can define any clear reason as to why they have these feeling. Look into the Total Bliss Program here.

Psychological Stress
There are several reasons as to how one acquires psychological stress but it can include trauma suffered from an emotionally disturbing event in the past or other emotional anxiety.
Psychological stress concerns more of a person’s ability to respond to a given situation. To be specific, the loss of that ability. During dangerous situations, your body produces hormones known as adrenaline and cortisol that prompts the body to make a response.
The problem with people suffering from psychological stress is that they tend to induce more stress in their lives by subjecting themselves to stressful situations.
